Our Team

Guardian Property & Asset Management was started by Mark Meehan and Helen Crowther in 2002. Living in Melbourne and owning residential investments in Brisbane they were frustrated with a lack of communication from their managing agent. They felt they were receiving poor service for their investment properties managed by sales focused real estate agents. They decided that change was needed; someone to offer investors a service where they could be assured their property was looked after by a company who understood and had a similar mindset to them. A company who appreciates that excellent communication is needed regardless of an owners’ proximity to their property. Owners must be aware of what is happening with their properties whether they are nearby or thousands of kilometres away. And so Guardian was started.

Guardian has now expanded to 4 offices in Brisbane, a Perth office was set up in 2005 by Jonathan and Amber Fordham, who are now located in Brisbane and with Mark & Helen make up the Guardian leadership team. In 2007 the Melbourne office was opened and most recently in early 2011 Guardian has opened an office in Sydney. We are continually looking into areas for expansion and we examine carefully the markets we enter, based upon our market research and feedback from our Owners, Investment Groups and Partners as to locations of new investment areas.
